What it is

Clinician-led programme combining imaging, extensive bloodwork and functional testing across several appointments rather than one day. The closest structural match to the European outpatient model outside Europe.

The evidence behind what it offers

We grade tests, not companies. These are our standing assessments of the modalities this provider offers, and they apply identically to everyone offering them.

Baseline evidence grade C: Mechanistically plausible and widely used, but no trial evidence of net benefit in the screened population.
Whole-body MRI

No randomised trial has shown a mortality benefit in asymptomatic adults, and roughly a third of scanned people receive a critical or unresolved incidental finding.

Baseline evidence grade B: Consistent evidence of benefit, but from trials with surrogate endpoints, single trials, or strong longitudinal cohorts.
Cardiopulmonary exercise test

Cardiorespiratory fitness carries one of the strongest mortality associations of anything measurable, with no observed upper limit of benefit. The best-evidenced measurement in the category.

Baseline evidence grade C: Mechanistically plausible and widely used, but no trial evidence of net benefit in the screened population.
Genomics and gene panels

Plausible and widely sold, with no trial evidence of net benefit from untargeted sequencing in asymptomatic adults. Best value as a once-in-a-lifetime measurement rather than a recurring one.

Not offered: Multi-cancer early detection blood test.

How to read the price

Every private programme sells an addition to something you already have. In Germany that something is Check-up 35, free every three years from age 35, covering blood pressure, fasting glucose, a full lipid panel, urinalysis and a consultation. Those are the cheapest high-yield measurements in medicine and a meaningful share of people buying private programmes have never used them.

So the question is never whether Everlab beats nothing. It is what the increment buys.

What to ask before booking

  1. What is the total price, in writing, before the consultation? Everlab does not publish a price page, so the figure on this page comes from a third party and may not match your quote.
  2. What proportion of your patients receive an imaging finding that requires further investigation, and who owns the follow-up if mine does? Roughly a third of scanned people leave with something critical or unresolved, and the apparatus around the scan matters more than the scan.
  3. Will I get a full ergospirometry report with a ventilatory threshold, and will it be repeated so I can see whether training changed it? Fitness is the rare measurement that is both strongly prognostic and reliably modifiable, which makes the second test as valuable as the first.
  4. What happens after the report: is there a named physician who owns the follow-up, or does the responsibility return to my own doctor?
  5. What is the median total invoice, as opposed to the advertised programme price? Additional recommendations after the initial consultation are normal in this category and are not usually in the headline figure.

Profile

Nine attributes across three axes, recorded and not scored. We grade tests, never companies, so there is no total here and no winner: the axes pull against each other, and no provider in the Index holds all nine. A programme priced for annual repetition will not publish deep tier structures, and one that declines routine imaging cannot lead on imaging volume. Read it as a description of what this provider is.

What you can verify before contact

Clinical structure

How the medicine is organised. These are descriptions rather than merits: a conservative imaging policy and a comprehensive one are both defensible positions.

  • Physician-led throughout : yes
  • Diagnosis independent of treatment : yes
  • Cardiopulmonary exercise testing : yes

The measurement we grade highest, grade B

  • No routine whole-body imaging : no

Routine imaging offered, which we grade C

Access

Whether the programme is realistically repeatable, and where you can get it.

  • Priced for annual repetition : no

Questions this article answers

How much does Everlab cost?
Everlab charges A$3,500 per visit. The provider does not publish a price page, so this comes from a named secondary source, checked 2026-09-07, and may differ from the quote you receive.
What is included in a Everlab programme?
Clinician-led programme combining imaging, extensive bloodwork and functional testing across several appointments rather than one day. The closest structural match to the European outpatient model outside Europe.. Biomarker count: 100+.
Is Everlab worth it compared with a free statutory check?
Check-up 35 (statutory, Germany) is free and covers the cheap high-yield basics: Physical examination, blood pressure, fasting glucose, total cholesterol with LDL, HDL and triglycerides, urinalysis, a one-off hepatitis B and C screen, and a consultation. What Everlab adds at A$3,500 is the layer the statutory system does not fund at all. The significant addition is a cardiopulmonary exercise test, which carries the highest standing grade we award to anything in preventive screening: cardiorespiratory fitness has one of the strongest mortality associations of any measurable variable, with no observed upper limit of benefit, and it appears in fewer than half the programmes we catalogue. Our standing grade for each of these is on this page, so you can see which part of the increment the evidence supports before you decide.
Does Everlab include a whole-body MRI?
Yes, in at least one published tier. Check which tier you are quoted, since providers commonly gate imaging behind higher tiers. Our assessment of whole-body MRI screening is grade C: no randomised trial has shown a mortality benefit in asymptomatic adults, and roughly a third of scanned people receive a critical or unresolved incidental finding. A programme that reads the scan alongside bloods, function testing and a physician review on the same day handles that better than an imaging centre working alone.
Who is Everlab best for?
Somebody whose specific question matches what this programme measures. Whoever you are, use your statutory entitlement first: it is free, it covers the measurements with the longest outcome record, and a meaningful share of people buying private programmes have never had it.
How long does a Everlab appointment take?
It is delivered across more than one appointment rather than a single day, so allow for scheduling separate imaging and laboratory visits.
What are the alternatives to Everlab?
On the same model and at the nearest prices: YEARS in Berlin, DE from €1,900, Preventicum in Essen, DE from ~€1,400 and Q Bio in San Francisco, US from not published. Compare within kind before across it, because a per-visit fee and a per-week residential rate are not the same number. The full comparison across all 16 providers we catalogue is in the Baseline Index.
Where is Everlab located?
Everlab is based in Melbourne, AU. It operates as outpatient day programme.
